• March 1978 - December 1994 : Cargo Surveyor resp. Principal Surveyor with the Antwerp Lloyd’s Agency (N.V. Beeckman De Vos, formerly Gellatly, Hankey Marine Services).
• January 1995 - July 1997 : Senior Surveyor with F. De Maeyer & Co N.V., Marine and Cargo surveyors at Antwerp.
• Since August 1997 : Self-employed independent marine and cargo surveyor (Profex BVBA).

As a result of the great number and variety of survey missions handled over the years, we were able to gain extensive specific knowledge of all types of commodities, linked with possible transport hazard defects and/or inherent vice.
